A
small bedroom space can be difficult for any interior design scheme but
can be given extra appeal to a buyer with some ingenuity. Purchases of
new accessories and bedding for the child in this room to take with them to
the next house were well worth the benefits of the transformation and the child's
new motivation to remove posters, de-clutter and move unused toys on to the
charity shop!
The
following improved the feeling of space in this small bedroom: Removal of the
headboard to create a bedsit/sofa appeal, changing the window dressing to a
roman blind, de-clutter, table lamp and additional corner hanging light, large
mirror, pale wall colour merging with window dressing colour plus a more
harmonious overall colour scheme, re- thinking layout to emphasise spacial
awareness. For more ideas like this see your local

This
back garden lacked appeal and the conservatory wall was a very negative
feature. We turned it into a positive feature as a private eating
area and sun deck with some decking, trellis, planting and foliage. This
may not always add significant value over the expense and all aspects of the
property need to be taken into account. Where there is a negative; (this
house had large first floor accommodation but small ground floor
accommodation), a Home Staging Consultant
will look at creating a positive at relative cost to the likely increase
in value and buyer interest. Here we created extended ground floor accommodation
with the decking area, which was raised to the level of the kitchen floor and
created a very attractive outdoor living space of great interest to buyers.
